I would like to made a soap using breastmilk for my baby. He is suffering from eczema currently. Is it suitable to use glycerin soap base?

Hi, thanks for your question. Generally, it is not recommended to use glycerin soap base to make breastmilk soap. The reason is that this will cause the soap to grow mould, fungus and bacteria which will become more harmful to your baby. As glycerin soap base is already premade in the factory, it no longer contains active lye that can kill off the bacteria in the breastmilk. We highly recommend that you make breastmilk soap using the cold process or hot process method as the lye used during the soap making process kills off those bacteria in the breastmilk. Adding breastmilk to glycerin soap base is somewhat similar to leaving breastmilk out in the open for a few days. As you know, the milk will surely turn bad and sour.
