Description
Sodium lactate is widely used as a food additive that acts as a preservative, acidity regulator and bulking agent. It has a slight skin-lightening effect and can be used to adjust PH. It is sometimes used in shampoo products and other similar items such as liquid soap, as it is an effective humectant and moisturizer. It is also often used to produce a harder soap bar with a smoother texture.
This is a 60% food grade sodium lactate solution in 40% water. It is clear to pale yellow in colour with a thick viscosity.
Recommended use level of 0.5-5% for skincare products, and 2-3% for bar soaps.
STORAGE: Store in a tightly closed original container. Protect from light, including direct sun rays. Store below room temperature
SHELF LIFE: 2 years under proper storage conditions
